Southern Ring Road Rehabilitation — Homs

Completed 2022 Homs

Rehabilitation of 18 kilometres of the southern ring road, covering base layers, asphalt, drainage works, lighting, and horizontal and vertical signage.

The project covered milling of damaged asphalt layers and the re-execution of base, binder, and wearing courses in line with Syrian standard specifications, in addition to treating settlements and strengthening shoulders along the southern segment of the ring road.

Works were completed in night-time phases to preserve daytime traffic flow, supported by an approved traffic-safety plan and temporary diversions at the main city entrances.

  • 18 km of repaving with a cross-section reaching 22 metres.
  • 26 drainage culverts executed and the surface drainage network rehabilitated.
  • Energy-efficient lighting along the full segment with new guidance signage.
